How to Write About the Right: An Exchange
In the New York Review of Books, GM responds to Mark Lilla’s “Two Roads for the New French Right.”
The writing in The Old Weird America on the latent potential for non-reality of the Constitution is the foundational writing on how we got to where we are today, internationally as well as nationally. Mark Lilla’s response to Greil Marcus is glib in a familiar and dangerous way; and a denial of the international bonds and supremacist ideology that closely unites them. Hoping to see Greil continue to write and speak on this. Perhaps a response, dialogue and engagement with Michelle Alexander.
That is, that unites the authoriatarin regimes Greil mentioned in his reply to Lilla.
