That Kara Walker/”Brown Sugar” account was powerful enough to make me question even the possibility of live performance interaction, ever, even though I knew/know that has appeared to have happened other times and elsewhere.
Also the line: “Black people died for your art” is about as good a motto for Black History Month as any.
