‘The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll in Ten Songs’ Comes Alive

Greil on stage with (as pictured above) Rico Bell, Jon Langford, and Sally Timms of the Mekons, discussing The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll in Ten Songs while the Mekons perform versions of the book’s playlist. Later they are joined by Tomi Lumsford, great niece of Bascom Lamar Lunsford, for a version of “I Wish I Was a Mole in the Ground.”

This event took place at Alverno College in Milwaukee on Nov. 20; highlights are included in the following short film created by Heather Hass.

  1. I’m not too much about classical. But this video make me understand quite a bit the song well “i’m not classical” one. May I have a chance in the future to digging for more. Thanks for making this video.
